In the name of transparency

I made a wee boo boo

I made a mistake. Embarrassed, red-faced.

The other day, as most of you know, I opened a poetry publication; it’s called Roadkill Society. I wrote the submissions page up as quickly as I could. In between trying to get the page just right, just to have something on the Roadkill Society publication, I posted all the poetry I have on Medium to it, knowing well it had all been proofread when posted. So, I thought everything was cool. Not so much, though.

The submission rules for Roadkill clearly state that we won’t house any rhyming poetry there. Yet I actually posted two of mine, not even realizing I had any poetry that rhymes. (I only looked at the titles as I posted them. Doh!) I guess I quit writing that kind of poetry nearly as soon as I began. Anywho, for any of the poets now with Roadkill who noticed — my apologies. I am human and was in a hurry. I will be observing the same processes as you. I removed them from the publication, and by the way, one I rewrote, removing all rhyme from it.

I know the chance of anyone even noticing in such a short time is slim, but even so, I prefer to be transparent. Shrugs.
